Theres nothing harder than doing a full day of location filming and then coming back to a hotel room to edit, write and upload this. I just wanted to get that out there. this isnt a moan just an observation. if you know you know.
Today has been a very good days shooting, long but its been fun, the only down side as to be that we forgot to buy suncream, which has resulted in my neck taking a beating. If any one is wondering what has happened today, I can let you know Ive had a good conversation with someone about how they think if all the ants came together they could team up and take down the human race. no joke. and yes this person was stoned. the conversation was ended when I mentioned that we could just move to the ANTartic… because ants don’t like snow.
I wanted to post some pictures of this white chevvy truck that was parked near me and alos a picture of the coolest cat ive ever seen. she does what she likes.

I want to write today about horse’s, the most scariest pet in the uk. as someone who loves the country side, but is shit scared of horses. Ill went near a horse once and it kicked me and then stood on my toe and since then I havent’ trusted them, I also lied and said I could ride one and ended up getting bucked off. but its the one thing I always wish I learnt how to do it, if I could ride a horse im pretty sure I would of look like John Wayne.
Well today, I went for a walk in the woods and came across a field of horses, they had those masks to protect them from the flies on but I still felt sorry for them. To make this even better, then I saw one of the horse shake the flies off and decided I should take some photos, I had a 70-200mm lens with me, so could get some sick photos.

Friday, a day where you go out have a drink with your mates and end it with a 3am bagel and can of beer from the 24 hour off licence. back to reality, im was all about packing up camera gear, lenses, tripods and gimbals, then driving back to my parents house at 7 so I could hit the road on Sunday. I literally spent my friday in a room prepping camera gear and it was actaully pretty fun, a bit geeky but fun.
Then my Friday evening was all about trying to get across the blackwell tunnel before it became a traffic jam. That didnt happen. Long story short my friday was all about getting back to my parents home so I could get a decent nights sleep.
all this is happening when every single person I know is in benicassim ( a music festival in spain) sending me photos a videos, my mate frank the tank was even sending me photos of him talking about jacket potatoes and the way to make them, which is wrong frank, its cheese THEN beans. Not the other way round.
Any way heres some photos of my crazy journey home friday night.

Firstly I have to say, the Beetles have a zebra crossing on Abbey Road, the Libertines have a cracked out alley way inbetween Bethnal Green and Hackney, its literally called “up the bracket Alley” it used to be called Grove Passage, but someone stole the road sign and now probably has it hung up their mothers wall. the reason for this is because it was the location of the Up The Bracket Music Video.

This alley has become a shrine to the band, with people writing on the wall about their memories of the band and the impact they had, its actually an amazing alley for that reason, but what makes it even better is the fact it stinks on piss and covered in smashed beer bottles. It kind of makes it that little bit more special. that fact you have to walk through a black cab repairs garage under some dark bridge off of the main road, definitely adds a bit of an uneasy atmosphere to the whole thing.
I was at the gig a few years back where a guy stripped off naked and climbed the lighting rig, for no reason what so ever, accept they are at a libertines gig and thats what happens.
I genuinely don’t think my writing skills are good enough to describe this alley way and what it feels like to walk down it, Ill have to get my friend matt green and his “creative writing degree” to help me out on that one.
but trust me if there is one thing you HAVE todo next time your in London, take the adventure over to “Up the Bracket Alley” and check it out, don’t take your phone or go there after dark though it might not be the same experience.

Theres on thing that East london has that no where else in London can even compete and thats the 24/7 365 days of a year Brick Lane Baigel Bake all day ever day this shop is rammed with costumers, from Police Officers to a motor cycle gang stopping off to get a Salt Beef Bagel. This place was built in the 1974 and is probably the most famous shop on Brick Lane beating all the curry houses at the end!
The best things about Beigel Bake is the fact that they haven’t changed their prices to fit in with every other shop on that street, you can literally go in there get a salmon and creme cheese bagel for Ā£1.80, a coffee shop near me sells the same Bagel for Ā£4!!!
One of my best memories about the bagel shop was when there was a riot on Brick lane a few years ago, loads of shops got there windows smashed in, cars were destroyed, it was todo with the rising cost of living in the area, so naturally the estate agents took a battering, but the begel shop was pristine, literally not a scratch. it was like it a had shield around it protecting it from the flying bricks and angry hippies letting everyone know they weren’t happy.

today is a big day, to day is the day I reach the 100 days of this three photos a day challenge, so that means Ive upload at least 300 photos (some days Ive done more than three).Ā The whole thing is starting to pick up momentum which is good and I’m starting to see some regular people like my page. you guys know who you are, so thank you!
But I though rather than just posting photos, I thought I would share a story, from before I was born and with a man I never met, my grandad Frederick Wrench. Back in the day this man work for the times news paper in the photography department, (just when people where trying to get in the whole 35mm film game), so this is probably where I get my techy geekiness from.
Well anyway my granny and him where saving for a new dishwasher, she was bored for doing it by hand and they needed to up there kitchen appliance game and a new dishwasher would of definitely have made the neighbours jealous, but one day Frederick spear came home with the new Kodak Retina Type ii (which is an amazing film camera), and had spent all the savings from the dishwasher on this new camera because as he saw it, he needed it, I dont think my gran was very happy but when you need something. you need it. what a legend!
Well, 60 years later I was given this camera by my gran, and took it for a spin around London, its not the easiest camera to work and without a light meter you’ve got to have a pretty good eye. so to know that back then he didn’t use a light meter and it was all just by judging the environment and take a great snap is impressive.
I never met this man but I definitely think this story has had an influence on me in some sort of way, to know he worked at the times in the photography department in the early days of photos and technology, is something that I think is pretty cool.

After spending the whole of sunday on the sofa or travelling back from sevenoaks, I decided to go to victoria park and take some snaps for the sunset. I only wanted to go for an half an hour max, 2 and half hours later I walk through my door and still need to get ready for work. but I have got some absolute bangers, pretty happy with how they’ve turned out but still having focusing problems with my 5D, which is getting really annoying, time to buy a new camera I think.
apart from that nothing beats sunday no other day of the week is better. fact. mix victoria park in the sun shine with a sunday and you have the perfect place to be in London, that park has everything from pedalo’s, crazy golf and a 13ft vert bowl at the skatepark!

ļ»æWalking home from work yesterday and I saw this crazy helicopter flying over Bethnal Green, I only really noticed it because of how low it was flying and what it had on the side. Does anyone know what helicopter it is? Other than that I saw to Asian people taking wedding photos out side of a bills restaurant which was a bit weird but different strokes for different folks.

One thing I’m learning about street photography is that you have to be there in the moment and not worry about taking photos of people in plan sight, other wise you’ll never get the shot, some times you’ve just got to go balls to the wall.

At the moment my main camera I’m using is a Sony WX350 which isnt the best point and shoot but it’s a lot easier than taking a canon 5d with a 24-105mm lens which is basically the same size as a small child. – this was me just playing around with the lights on the tube –
As you can see this camera does hold up ok and for the price you can’t complain, this was literally a camera I brought for a small project I had with a mate and not really intended to use it for the blog thing I’m doing, so I suppose it’s doing the job but if you were to put it next to a fuji x100f or Leica M it would look like one of those old Motorola flip phones.
for the next 5 days Im going to concentrate on taking photos of people around London, its something that I’ve wanted todo for a long time and something I want to get better at. Ā Street photography is Ā big in London and probably to most popular type of photography around here, so I think its time I give it a proper try. At the moment, Im a big fan of black and white street photos I think they just add something else to the photo, so for now I’m probably going to concentrate on that, but well see where it ends up.

One thing I thought was a good idea is if I saved up all the photos I took on my iPhone from Italy. This camera gets used as a quick go to, if it’s in my hands and I happen to see something I like or if all my other cameras are in my bag. Then the photo takes the snap, no playing with settings just swipe up and press the button. Done.
A few months back though I wasn’t a fan of phone stills they always seemed a bit flat and couldn’t really hold up against a camera Ā but since I’ve been using it as an easy to go point and shoot camera, it’s definitely impressing me and something that’s pulled through when I’ve needed that quick snap.
Any way enough of the rambling I’ll let the photos do the talking.
