B338 – HEATHROW 4 STARS – PREMIER INN

Tonight Im sleeping in the new premier inn at Heathrow Terminal 4, im not going to any amazing country or evening flying abroad, this was just the closest hotel to where I need to be at 6:45am tomorrow morning. I’ve definitely shared with you guys before my love for a Premier inn, they do excatly what they say on the advert and to be honest they are pretty clean which is always a bonus when your on location. Some times you end up in those hotels where its best to sleep fully dressed and wearing some kind of face protection, but honestly Ive never had a stay like that in a Premier inn.

Back to this new hotel at Heathrow, I would have to give this one a 7/10, its got everything need in a short 12 hour hotel stay, we have a bar, a nice sized bed and a room that can fit all my stuff in. The bed sheets are clean and they have that nice tumble dryer smell. If you ever end up planning a trip which involves staying at this Premier Inn, do be neverous or even apprehensive just got with it and your guaranteed a good nights sleep.

The one thing that does catch me out each time at these places is the shower gel that they give you attached to the wall, Im not sure if anyone has used this stuff more than once, I say once because Im pretty sure everyone tries it once but quickly realised that its probably doing more damage than good when it comes to skin care. I would love to say that premier inn use a good quality wall attached shower gel but unfortunately that would be a lie, why don’t they just give out small bottles of shower gel instead? that would solve their biggest problem. sorry if this sounds like a moan but I quite regularly forget my shower gel and its never good being met but wall soap.

anyway, this is a solid 7/10 and I give it a 4 star quick trip rating another strong reason for staying here would be todo with the 24 hour costa coffee shop at reception. Perfect if you’ve got an early start or late arrival. this is my hotel review, I hope you like it.

B315 – SOMETHING THAT WILL STICK WITH ME FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE –

I’m not really too sure how to start this, its something that I doubt will ever happen to me again, for those of you that have been reading these posts of the past few months would know that back in November, a homeless man stopped me in the street and asked me for £10 so he could get a hostel for 5 days, he then told me that for two weeks a hostel is £20. I decided to walk him to the closest cash point and withdraw £20, I didn’t know his name, background or if he would just spend the money on crack. all I had was his word that he just wanted to get a roof over his head and a chance to get back on his feet, if I was him then I would want someone like me to give me a chance.

well after a long 12 hour day a work and feel pretty stressed on the way home, I literally hadnt thought about what I was going to write about or do, this shabby looking man on Bethnal green road stops me and says “excuse me” I assumed it was someone begging for money, he quickly stopped me and told me that he remembers me and just wanted to say thanks and that he now has a door key!!!!! they homeless man I gave £20 four months ago now lives in a house and is getting his life back on track, and just saw me and wanted to thank me. A stranger gave someone in need £20 and that has gone on to help him turn his life around and get off the streets. to me that is incredible, I literally cant think of the words to describe it.

Seeing wayne tonight has really made me think about how we can effect peoples lives and that someone like me who let off fart bombs at school and spent most of my life doing stupid stuff has actually just had a direct effect on someones life and given a complete stranger hope and a second chance!!!

I asked wayne if I could take a photo of him but he was to worried and thought that his family might see it, I completely understand if I was wayne then that would have been my answer. I just hope that wayne carries on getting his life back on track and is someday proud to be photographed!

Wayne if for some reason you read this, I wish I got your phone number or email address! if you do please drop me a message and lets talk! my photos from today don’t really matter, its more about the bigger picture I suppose. thank you wayne for stopping me tonight, its going to stick me with for a long time!

the day were failing at post 3 photos each day was nearly here. ive had a pretty long day and a few technical problems a long the way but nothing that can be sorted and the only picture Ive taken today was of two people playing the guitar on the street. I literally just took one photo and I’ve been starring at a computer screen all day. its been one of those days where you genially just want to watch some crappy tv and sleep.

Well thats no happening now, im doing the true brit thing, Ive put the kettle on and im about to smash out four photos, screw doing just three im going to post four, just becuase I can. my thinking is, over this weekend I took so many sick photos and have a few cool stories and that I should post them and give you guys some content, i can do what I like.

At the weekend, Amy’s mum was baking some cakes, all of them were really tastey, but one went a bit wrong, it didnt rise or something. she was about to throw it away and start again, but that saying waste not want not popped up, so I though I would give this whole bake off thing a go and see if I could make something out of it. a biscuit cutter and some walnut sprinkles later and you have a finished bake off worthy cake.

please see below, ill leave the guessing up to you as to which one is my  cake and which one Amys mum made. just a little bit of a guessing game for ya.

On a different topic, that picture I took today of those two people with the guitar, none of it is in focus, its not even straight and you cant even see the whole guitar. im not really sure if any of that matters. its street photography. but I would like to know what anyone think, is there a certain level of photography that goes into or can a perfect photo from the street just be right place right time. i think ive got away with it and can all it photography.

this post is a bit jumpy and all over the place, but so am I tonight.

Norfolk day two.

Theres nothing harder than doing a full day of location filming and then coming back to a hotel room to edit, write and upload this. I just wanted to get that out there. this isnt a moan just an observation. if you know you know.

Today has been a very good days shooting, long but its been fun, the only down side as to be that we forgot to buy suncream, which has resulted in my neck taking a beating. If any one is wondering what has happened today, I can let you know Ive had a good conversation with someone about how they think if all the ants came together they could team up and take down the human race. no joke. and yes this person was stoned. the conversation was ended when I mentioned that we could just move to the ANTartic… because ants don’t like snow.

I wanted to post some pictures of this white chevvy truck that was parked near me and alos a picture of the coolest cat ive ever seen. she does what she likes.

After a 2 weeks with out a day off and working on two full on tv shows, a shoot somewhere near reading and a massive shoot in Manchester, im now on my way to Norfolk for a little catch up with Amy. its 2 in the morning, im still at work currently 17 hours into a work shift, here are 3 photos. im listening to music with the office cleaner, hes just showed me The S.O.S Band and joy simon, so go check them out instead of looking at my photos, im high on coffee and Haribo goooooooving to the funkiness.

two day has been a day of two halfs, a missed train from reading to Manchester, an angry taxi driver who tried to hold me as a hostage of a mistake that his comms office and a lost jumper (it was my new favourite), all added to me only having one option grabbing a pint before the next train to Manchester and then sleeping all the way, so now im sat in a pretty swanky hotel room in manchester wide awake!

but over all im pretty happy with the pictures i managed to get, by the way, I cant take any photos of my location or anything this week, so time to get creative. Ive brought a big pack of balloons just in case I run out of ideas and need to make some water bombs or something.

B009 – Today is Tuesday

Happy Tuesday, heres some snaps from my Monday. Yesterday I had a shoot at the London Free Hospital, with a really really smart man. London Free Hospital, is where you go if you catch ebola or any other tropical diseases. so basically I was the closest to ebola I’ve ever been.
