B345 – ANY TIME IN THE PAST 100 YEARS

Thursday morning and last day of shooting for the week, I literally couldn’t be happier. For some reason this week just seems to have taken it out of me and now I’m ready to get a decent sleep and hide away from the terrible weather than seems to be on its way again.

Back when i had a life, my week day plan was always to wake up like 45 minutes earlier, grab a coffee, sit on my sofa and open up my laptop and just start that days blog post but over the past 3 months that has really changed and now its just about getting the posts done at anytime I could. Well today I have decided to do my best and sit on the sofa with a coffee and spent some time just writing these posts, its probably my favourite way of doing it, and I maybe running out of time pretty quickly but you can never rush and artist (unless you have a floor manager and production team that would kick your arse if your not at work for your call time).

to lighten the mood a bit, I want to show you guys this morning are from… Yes you guessed it the other day at the beach in Norfolk, I promise its my last day of showing photos for that walk, but taking Landscape photos of the sea one on side and these really colourful muddy cliffs on the other with overcast clouds, I think really sets the mood and almost gives them a timeless feel. like those people on the beach in the first picture could almost of been there at anytime in the past 100 years, theres nothing in shot that I can see which would give away that its 2018.

I hope everyone is having a good week, here some the last of the photos from the weekend.

B149 – Get me to the beach!

I don really know much about yesterday, It was spent doing not alot but going to a lot of places, like the beach, where I only had black jeans so brought a pair of yellow swimming trunks only to discover that they were see through, so bit of a nice view for Amy’s extended family as I came out of the sea at low tide. I have to say though that my Sand castle building skills were perfect, it was the sand that let me down. a bit to wet for mould properly, but I like to think I made the best of a bad situation and got it built.

after that we literally headed to the pub for some food and drove home, life moves a lot slower in Norfolk which is completely different to London. Thanks Amy family for a good old weekend.

think i’m going to keep it short and sweet today, i’m still absolutely nackered.

B148 – A £200K ASTON MARTIN

Bank holiday Sunday, in Norfolk was a proper Bank Holiday, spent eating food and drinking beer, before the food started there was a classic car show on the cliffs. where a load of classic cars meet up to basically show a little piece of history.

The best thing I saw was the radio club, talking in morse code to someone in Tokyo, Japan! but was we got into to frequency levels and all the dots and ders, I was a bit lost. its quite cool to this though that theres another way to contact someone on the other side of the world other than using the internet, these guys are using frequencies! its a pretty cool skill, it makes me want to learn Morse code for absolutely no reason at all, a part from that fact I can use it at a classic car show.

on a cooler note, there was the new Aston Martin Vanquish S a 200 MPH, 0 – 60mph in 3.5 second car. it comes with a v12 engine and produces 595bhp, but dont worry because with all that you get 14.1 miles to the gallon. With all those little carbon fibre parts aswell this car weighs, 1739kg. Now I know nothing about cars, I little got all this information from the Aston Martin Website, I just know that 595bhp, Ive been 130mph in a BMW and that felt fast, so 200 in a Aston Martin must be insane.

Any way, heres a few photos from the classic car show, it was definitly worth a visit and this weekend has really made me want to get a car again, dont think it will be an Aston Martin though.

B147 – this weekend!

Back by the sea this weekend with loads of amy family for a little shin dig, so should be a good little bank holiday. nothing major really happening apart from loads of dog walking and a few beers. nothing beats an August Bank holiday, especially by the sea.

On a walk saturday we bumped into a mini car club drive thing down by Cromer beach, it reminded me how sick those little cars are, and now I kind of want an Old mini, I have no idea about cars but they are amazing. who needs a rolls royce, when you could have an old school mini.

Anyway, theres a load of prep that needs to be done before all of Amy’s family arrives so ill keep this short and sweet. I got a bunch of shallots to cut, so heres my photos from yesterday. enjoy.

(sorry for the spelling mistakes)

B144 – Its a throwback thursday

I did have 3 photos ready to go for Thursday, but then I started looking back at the past 144 days and though I should maybe do my first ever through back Thursday. Ive been trying to think of my favourite day of the past 5 months and I think that its got to be when Amy and me spent a day by this hidden beach that you could only get to by beach of if you swam somewhere on the Amalfi coast, not sure where it was but for some reason that day has stuck with me, we literally did nothing as well apart from swim, eat and sleep.

we sat on this beach for ages, would get up every 20 mintues of something and go swimming, doing the proper brits aboard thing, swim and the full asleep. I don’t know why this is my favourite day, its probably because its the last time I can remember seeing blue sky since being back in london, where we’ve just got that flat gray weather. not that Im moaning, its definitely better than that crappy January weather we get any way, looking back through all these photos, its one of those things were now all I want todo is be on that beach again doing the same time.

One of the best memories I have from that day was Amy and me trying to get a picture of her flicking her hair out of the water and looking like a mow-hawk. When it works, the pictures look amazing, but when it doest thats when you get art! the best picture I have is of the fail. from the photo it looks like amy is trying to all angelic in the water in front of those Italian boys in the back ground but its just gone massive wrong, obviously that isn’t the case, but I definitely think thats what this photo looks like.

anyway heres a phone of the hair water flick fail and some other cool photos from that day.

B113 – I broke another camera

Being in Norfolk for the weekend has got to be one of the best ways to catch up on sleep, every time I come to Comer I swear I sleep. Its always a good laugh, yesterday we went for a little walk around Cromer, it’s a small sea side town that has everything you think a small sea side town has, from the amusement places to the small corner shops that sell those inflatable killer whales and bucket and spades.

When we went for a walk along the pier, it was famous for crab finishing. Well I though I might be able to stick my camera lens in side the bucket of water and get a close up shot of the crab. This did not work, in-fact it couldn’t of gone more wrong. I now have water inside my camera and can only take weird blurry pictures. So if you have a Sony WX350 don’t think there’s anyway you can take underwater photos, because the camera will break. so thats two camera’s in 6 months, not bad going.

In other news, Amy just got a new iphone, so I was giving that a try and testing out the camera. I agree with everyone else, this camera is really really good.

All the snaps below were taking on the Iphone 7.

B086 – the phone pulls  through when you need it!

One thing I thought was a good idea is if I saved up all the photos I took on my iPhone from Italy. This camera gets used as a quick go to, if it’s in my hands and I happen to see something I like or if all my other cameras are in my bag. Then the photo takes the snap, no playing with settings just swipe up and press the button. Done.

A few months back though I wasn’t a fan of phone stills they always seemed a bit flat and couldn’t really hold up against a camera  but since I’ve been using it as an easy to go point and shoot camera, it’s definitely impressing me and something that’s pulled through when I’ve needed that quick snap.

Any way enough of the rambling I’ll let the photos do the talking.

– I just like the colour in this photo –
– the “high street” in Raito, Italy –

B083 – we have driven on one of the worlds most dangerous roads!

This place is amazing, but its also pretty chaotic! One of the craziest things is driving south along the amalfi coast, its full of crazy moped drivers and to match that is the 100ft cliff edge literally inches away! But we have had a smasher of a week, yesterday we went and saw pompei, which is massive but properly jammed packed with tourists! After this we headed down to Amalfi for some food and a swim. that place is full of bright colour walls and cool little restaurants down small alleyways, its definitely worth a trip but dont come by road that the boat!

todays our last day and I owe amy a day sunbathing, we’ve been out the door each day at 8, either travelling somewhere, climbing a volcano or swimming. So today we work on amy’s tan!

B080 – we climbed a volcano

Yesterday was a day of exercise and eating. We started off at like 7 and climb up mount Vesuvius, we literally forgot to take money and that place you need cash for everything from parking to going to the toilet. With only a small bottle of sparkling water (Amy hates sparkling water) we climbed in 30 degree heat.

After this we headed down to serrento for some pizza and the beach. That place is unreal, the pizza is unreal and the beach was kind of a pontoon kinda thing with sun loungers and umbrellas for people like me who don’t want to mess with the sun and get burnt.

Here’s a few snaps from our day yesterday.

– cruising surreto-
– beach huts and stuff –

– up the top of the volcano –

B079 – amalfi coast is unreal

Just landed in Naples, Italy. This place is unreal, from the crazy drivers who literally drive where ever they want, to the 100ft cliffs with 7 houses a car park and hotel stuck on the side. We are looking forward to exploring this part of the world tomorrow morning with a hike up a volcano and then onto Pompeii to see the ruins of the old town. Should be a good morning with some cool photos.

Here’s a few snaps from our first afternoon here…
