Todays going to be short and sweet, its been tough and problem not the best day, but got a few good photos, Im going to keep this one shorter and sweeter than most days. im basically in Northumbria filming for this week, so SHOULD be good but probably really busy as usual.
I want to write more but would rather hit the pillow and get some sleep.

On my way into work today, I had a great idea. How far away from the office on my lunch break and can I take some good photos, eat lunch and make it back in an hour. So at 12:24 I ran out the office, stopping at sainsburys to get a meal deal and then on to the bus stop to jump on the first bus that came past 5 mintues later the 242 towards st pauls turns up. I jumped on it and quickly realised I was going the wrong way, heading towards Liverpool street, which if you know London has got to be the slowest road in London. not really ideal for seeing how far away I can make it.
So I jumped off and decided to walk to spitelfeilds market, the coolest place within walking distance of me, that’s when it started to absolutely chuck it down with rain, one of those weird moments when the heavens open and you just get soaked. not great for trying to take pictures of people out side.
Whole thing seemed two of paid off because I got a free Ribena from some promotion thing and also took a few cool photos. While I’m working in this office, I’m going to make it a weekly challenge, to see how far I can make it on my lunch break.
Today I made it exactly 1 mile away. So I would say this was a complete success and mixed up my normal routine of seeing how much I can eat on my lunch break,
– I need this guys set up –– I should of sacked off the meal deal for this beuty –– that hat is something special –
Being in Norfolk for the weekend has got to be one of the best ways to catch up on sleep, every time I come to Comer I swear I sleep. Its always a good laugh, yesterday we went for a little walk around Cromer, it’s a small sea side town that has everything you think a small sea side town has, from the amusement places to the small corner shops that sell those inflatable killer whales and bucket and spades.
When we went for a walk along the pier, it was famous for crab finishing. Well I though I might be able to stick my camera lens in side the bucket of water and get a close up shot of the crab. This did not work, in-fact it couldn’t of gone more wrong. I now have water inside my camera and can only take weird blurry pictures. So if you have a Sony WX350 don’t think there’s anyway you can take underwater photos, because the camera will break. so thats two camera’s in 6 months, not bad going.
In other news, Amy just got a new iphone, so I was giving that a try and testing out the camera. I agree with everyone else, this camera is really really good.
All the snaps below were taking on the Iphone 7.
– nothing says english holiday like this photo –– cromer pier –– no shop is better than this type of shop –
A bit of a tough one for Saturday, it was literally just a day off, going out for a meal and then grabbing a few pints in some country pub in Norfolk. Literally spent more time in Norfolk this week than in London for two completely separate reasons, but it is a pretty cool place so I can’t moan and nothing beats a English country pub in the rain!
West Runton isn’t just any Norfolk town this place was once home to an amazing music venue, which was host to some great musicians including chuck berry, the clash and the sex pistols! But unfortunately they knocked this sick little piece of history down in 1986 but it has made way for a cool little country pub.
This weekend is all about eating food and doing nothing.
– Amy on the way home after a few gin and tonics –– the pub when it’s raining. Nothing beats it –– what a legendary place, in a unsuspecting place –– the pub now on the spot were chuck berry and the clash was took over –
remember the corrupt files from yesterday, well they anit corrupt no more, after finding over half of my raw files on the CF card corrupt and unuasable, but I sat down and managed to fix them with out the help of google.
all I did was take the card out, back up the files to my computer, then put the card back into my camera and shoot a few bursts at a shutter speed of 250 and there you have it. all files were restored. Im not sure what part of the process restored the clips but im just happy it worked. so to celebrate me getting my photos back, I thought I would show you what they look like when they are corrupt.
Amy and me also went for a little drink last night to celebrate me fixing my photos and because we had seen each other in a while so I thought I would surprise her with a little drink up at some cool bar near me called Satan’s Whiskers. She had a cocktail, I had a beer.
check these little bad boys out.
– I’m liking the black and white photos at the moment –– is it one building or two –
– here’s two glasses of water and an empty “cocktail glass”
This is geeky, but let me tell you the contents of my issue and hopefully you can feel sorry for me.
After two long long days of shooting, it got to 7ish yesterday night and I remembered that I hadn’t taken any photos. So I ran out to snap a few stills of the village I was in, everything was going smoothish, I was happy with my stills so put my camera down for the rest of the night and cracked on with work.
Then this morning happened, I went to edit these photos and noticed that all of the RAW files are corrupt and I don’t understand how to fix this or why it happened. Is there any genius out there reading this that has any idea of how to sort this issue out, I know with film camera’s if you get a corrupt files you put the media back in the camera and play that clip back, but that obviously it doesn’t work in a Canon 5d… some one help me understand this.
in other news I had a great fish and chips for dinner.
have a look at these snaps and please let me know if you can help!
– What the F*(k has happened –– its really annoying –– I took this photo the day before, I just wanted to use a decent photo from this sleepy village –
Theres nothing harder than doing a full day of location filming and then coming back to a hotel room to edit, write and upload this. I just wanted to get that out there. this isnt a moan just an observation. if you know you know.
Today has been a very good days shooting, long but its been fun, the only down side as to be that we forgot to buy suncream, which has resulted in my neck taking a beating. If any one is wondering what has happened today, I can let you know Ive had a good conversation with someone about how they think if all the ants came together they could team up and take down the human race. no joke. and yes this person was stoned. the conversation was ended when I mentioned that we could just move to the ANTartic… because ants don’t like snow.
I wanted to post some pictures of this white chevvy truck that was parked near me and alos a picture of the coolest cat ive ever seen. she does what she likes.
– this car in the colour is a beast –– clean as a whistle –– a picture of a cat because, today i figured out they have the best lives. they literally do and go where they want and still get food –
today im in norfolk on a shoot for the next few days and currently sat in my hotel room backing up rushes another 30 minutes and ill be in that bar! Â Im just hitting that 12 hour mark, so in the TV world I’m just coming up to my lunch break, nothing too crazy. I think its going to be a fun little series Im working on and should be going to some even cooler locations, so my photography game will be on sick, so fingers crossed it pulls through and I get to go. anyway heres my photos from today im going to keep this short and sweet for now, Ive got footage to back up and beer to drink!
have a look at my snaps from today.
– the one and only fs7 –Â – if only this was our production car –Â – an added extra, this came in our phone holder –Â
Friday, a day where you go out have a drink with your mates and end it with a 3am bagel and can of beer from the 24 hour off licence. back to reality, im was all about packing up camera gear, lenses, tripods and gimbals, then driving back to my parents house at 7 so I could hit the road on Sunday. I literally spent my friday in a room prepping camera gear and it was actaully pretty fun, a bit geeky but fun.
Then my Friday evening was all about trying to get across the blackwell tunnel before it became a traffic jam. That didnt happen. Long story short my friday was all about getting back to my parents home so I could get a decent nights sleep.
all this is happening when every single person I know is in benicassim ( a music festival in spain) sending me photos a videos, my mate frank the tank was even sending me photos of him talking about jacket potatoes and the way to make them, which is wrong frank, its cheese THEN beans. Not the other way round.
Any way heres some photos of my crazy journey home friday night.
-its an alright sunset, I guess –– view from my parents house –– why be in a park when you can see this from the motor way –
Firstly I have to say, the Beetles have a zebra crossing on Abbey Road, the Libertines have a cracked out alley way inbetween Bethnal Green and Hackney, its literally called “up the bracket Alley” it used to be called Grove Passage, but someone stole the road sign and now probably has it hung up their mothers wall. the reason for this is because it was the location of the Up The Bracket Music Video.
Heres a link:Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u_g6zNuP_I
This alley has become a shrine to the band, with people writing on the wall about their memories of the band and the impact they had, its actually an amazing alley for that reason, but what makes it even better is the fact it stinks on piss and covered in smashed beer bottles. It kind of makes it that little bit more special. that fact you have to walk through a black cab repairs garage under some dark bridge off of the main road, definitely adds a bit of an uneasy atmosphere to the whole thing.
I was at the gig a few years back where a guy stripped off naked and climbed the lighting rig, for no reason what so ever, accept they are at a libertines gig and thats what happens.
I genuinely don’t think my writing skills are good enough to describe this alley way and what it feels like to walk down it, Ill have to get my friend matt green and his “creative writing degree” to help me out on that one.
but trust me if there is one thing you HAVE todo next time your in London, take the adventure over to “Up the Bracket Alley” and check it out, don’t take your phone or go there after dark though it might not be the same experience.
Heres my photos of  Up The Bracket Alley!
– looks just like abbey road –– road signs are over rated anyway, nothing a bit of spray paint cant solve –– below this was a suspicious puddle –– messages from all over the world! –
