B319 – APPLE STOP BEING ANNOYING

The plan for todays post is to kind of do a recap of the week through photos that Ive taken on my iphone, post like these are actually pretty good todo because I seem to take loads of photos each day on my phone that I just completely forget about until I look back through the phone.

My normal workflow for posts is to dump all the photos on to my hard drive and then edit them in Lightroom before I even think about what Im going to write. From there I open up WordPress and start to think of a way of starting the post. Well today Ive ended up doing things a bit different, all because my phone needs to be updated, so now Im writing this without even decided what photos Ill use. Normally I would wait for my phone to update and then just go through the rhythm of posting but as today Im spending my day off getting up early and running about to get a bunch of done, like get my hair cut and also put a fence up. Thats something I also only found out about last night and something Ive never done before, so that should be interesting.

This week has really been about early starts, I think Ive been up out and out the house before 6am more times this week than any other week of my life. people will probably call me lazy but I like to think of that as a lucky statistic and something that will probably change from now on, I got a feeling that I have a lot more early starts coming my way.

Something that is also really annoying me that the moment is Apples Airdrop, its like a spoilt child and only wants to work when it choices. Like todo for instant, Im not about to send photos via airdrop to my laptop, and now its making me late. Why does Apple make products that only they can fix, they should just make Airdrop so you can search of your physical device. Not just wait for airdrop to find your device, Come on Tim Cook, what are you doing with you time at apple! stop making iphones every 6 months and start making your software better. give up on Apple Pages, no one like it, give up with Home pod, its just an overpriced speaker that you can only use with apples products. Apple you have really boiled my blood this morning and now made me late! Stop holding us all by the balls and creating amazing products, then just add some features which dont make it as good as it could be and then slowing us all done. Telsa just sent a car to in to space and you cant even create a piece of software that will allow my iphone to talk to my mac properly.

Dear Apple.

Since my time began on this planet I have been an apple fan, from the first Iphone to the Latest edition of OS. Apple I have supported you, Ive loved you during the highs and the lows, through thick an thin. the mistakes and the triumphs, you’ve been a part of my life for so long. I learn how to edit videos and you helped me get past my GCSE’s and A-levels. But yesterday you let the side down, you failed me when I needed you most at work, trying to encode MXF OP-Atom DNxHD 114 files from XAVC files. we had a tight deadline and you just completely failed, but you didn’t just fail me, you failed the whole team, not even a genius could of got you through it. We HAD to use an Alienware PC and they cant even process a PRORESS file!!!! Brilliant you’ve brought out a phone that I can open with my face, while you’ve got laptops that cant process 4k or take hours to render. spend less time creating emojis that can copy my movements and more time thinking about the next step in rendering and encoding files.

I am really hoping a trip to the apple store and maybe a new machine will help me turn this nightmare around, but right now your CPU just cant keep up. please think about what people need and make it work, I know you have created the Mac Pro, but with a £7k price tag and not really that modular, why would I go for that over a Mac Bin. I need a laptop and something that can churn out 4k and transcode files quickly, and at the moment you don’t have any answers.

Files are getting bigger, we can now buy a 512gb AXS or Red mag card, thats literally half a Terabyte and we need answers, you wont let anyone else read Proress files so please create that laptop which just takes over the market not for the next 6 months but for at least 2 years.

We need someone like Steve jobs to take a few tabs of Acid, run off into some NASA like lab and just got to town, we need more start up disk space, faster CPUs and give our graphics card some steroids and ramp that beast up. create something you can only use on a bed of snow or ice, but please just do something revolutionary other wise I might just have to buy a Dell.

first day proper day and we are off to a flying start, after spending about 5 hours in a shopping centre trying to get our phones sorted with american sim cards, we finally have one working phone. apparently having an unlocked iphone doesn’t necessarily mean that it will work with a Canadian sim card.

but who cares because I’ve finally had a hotdog from a man on a street corner. and oh my god, it was perfect. Ive always seen people in movies eating them, and never had the chance till now and all for $3 dollars, he even had Saracha sauce and load of different toppings you could help yourself too. it was all worth the standing inside a shopping centre running between the Apple store and other phone stores, though, because as we left and crossed the road, this old school american car stopped right in front of us, I think its a Chevrolet, but I cant find it on the internet. so please does any one know what it is, I’ve spend like half an hour on good and not having much luck. it was literally a case of right place right time, and made my afternoon. so check out this photo and let me know what car it is and if you know the year that would be even better.

In other news, 4 months ago and properly damaged the ligament in my quad muscle training for an ultra marathon and couldn’t walk for 6 weeks literally had crutches the works and since then I’ve comfort eat Pizza and done nothing, well today I woke up early and got in a 15 mile cycle and a 30 minute swim, the first bit of proper exercise I’ve done in 4 months and my quad muscle didn’t hold me back or hurt, so maybe that little bit of physo I’ve had has helped. So the plan now is to find another over the top and stupid challenge for 2018, I’ve got a few ideas and will start planning when I get back in the UK. Mum and Amy Im sorry.

Im now just sat in my hotel room, doing the last little bits to the camera for tomorrows shoot and then going to head out meeting the guy we are filming and have something to eat, all in all though I think Ive beaten the last of the jet lag and back on top form.
